Court Security Division is responsible for providing bailiffs, and security to all Superior Courts in Santa Clara County. The Division is the largest division in the Sheriff's Office with 202 coded sworn positions and 24 civilian personnel assigned. Some of the Divisions primary objectives are to protect those facilities and their employees, to ensure free public access, and to ensure the orderly conduct of business therein. The Sheriff serves as an officer of the judicial branch, as bailiff for the Superior Court and as ex-officio marshal for courts.

The Division provides security for 14 court facilities encompassing 98 court rooms located throughout the county.

THE MISSION OF THE SHERIFF'S COURT SECURITY DIVISION IS TO SERVE AS THE SECURITY ARM OF THE SUPERIOR COURT OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY.  WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A SAFE AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT IN A PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT AND COST EFFECTIVE MANNER WITH A COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY BASED POLICING FOR OUR JUDICIAL STAFF AND OUR CUSTOMERS.
